“Take along with you not only the knowledge that you have acquired but the values that pervade our Principles and Practices. These are values that may not only change the 33 countries represented in your class but the world beyond.”
Womai Song, baccalaureate speaker
Members of the class of 2022 received their diplomas at Earlham’s 175th commencement on Saturday, May 21. Weather concerns pushed ceremonies inside, but other than a tornado warning after degrees were handed out, everything went as planned. Of the 230 graduates earning degrees, 202 came from the undergraduate college, 15 from Earlham School of Religion and 13 from the Graduate Programs in Education. Womai Song, assistant professor of African and African American studies, was chosen by graduating seniors to give the College’s baccalaureate address.
